Laura and Joel's special rainy day

While Mother Nature was not on our side today, Laura and Joel’s wedding was truly beautiful. The couple exchanged vowels at Cameron United Methodist Church in Alexandria, and then headed over to Newton White Mansion (where the staff was great and helpful) to celebrate the nuptials with family and friends. The reception was beautiful –complete with African drummers and authentic food. Everyone was having a great time, regardless of the rain beating down outside of the windows. Congratulations to this wonderful couple!

Jim Hawes - Portrait of a designer.

While working with DC Magazine on their Spotlight on Interior Designers I met Jim Hawes, a very high end interior designer and a very nice guy. Photo was taken at his home in McLean VA and silly me, I forgot his business card in my car tonight so tomorrow I'll update his Studio's name and website here so you can see his work.

On Monday I photographed Senator Lugar, honored at The University Club DC - Excellence in International Leadership Award dinner. I got to tell you,I just love available light! (photographers term for natural light).

Art and Soul Opening with Celebrity Chef Art Smith

Last night was so much fun. They had Celebrity Chef Art Smith at the opening of his new restaurant “Art and Soul”, in the Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel. The party was great. Amazing food, drinks, Great people, beautiful girls and live music. Even Oprah sent flowers!
I got to meet a lot of old friends, make new friends and most important – have great photos!
